Turning 65 this year? Apply for the Senior Homestead Exemption.

 To qualify for the Homestead Exemption you must be 65 years of age or older during 2011 tax year, and must own and occupy your home as a primary residence as of the 1st of the year. The current exemption for 2011 is $34,000. You are only entitled to ONE exemption (even if multiple owners of the home that qualify or if you own more than one primary residence).  For more information or to apply visit the Homestead Exemption page on our website.
