To find out your Real Estate assessed value please visit the property search portion of our website at http://boonepva.ky.gov/property-search. Just type in your parcel ID, address or name and click search. Your property information will be displayed including your assessed value amount.
If you feel your assessed value is not accurate you have the right to appeal the assessed value of your property. All property owners who disagree with their property value must first have a conference with the PVA office by 4:30pm EST on MAY 16, 2011. If you do not contact us by May 16th, we cannot change anything for the 2011 tax bill. According to NKY.com the population in Northern Kentucky grew about 12 percent in the past decade with much of the growth concentrated in Boone County and the southern regions.
Boone County saw a 38% increase in population in the past 10 years, the third highest in the state behind Spencer County near Louisville and Scott County near Lexington.
Boone County now has 118,811 residents compared to 85,991 in 2000 and most areas in Boone County jumped in population by one-third or more, including unincorporated Hebron by 67 percent, Union by 54 percent, and Walton by 46 percent. Florence’s population increased by 21 percent to 29,951.

To qualify for the Homestead Exemption you must be 65 years of age or older during 2011 tax year, and must own and occupy your home as a primary residence as of the 1st of the year. The current exemption for 2011 is $34,000. You are only entitled to ONE exemption (even if multiple owners of the home that qualify or if you own more than one primary residence).
